I was flipping through the newest issue of Wax Poetics and came across an in-depth and similarly fascinating interview with one of my favourite producers/arrangers, David Matthews. Besides learning about his youthful history of working with the godfather of soul, I wanted to remind myself of some of the albums featured in the pics (that I actually own). So, I pulled out two in particular that feature extrodinary backing arrangements to their respective artists.
